Arkansas Thoroughbred Alliance Mission Statement

Promoting the growth, success, and visibility of Arkansas-bred Thoroughbreds.

About the Arkansas Thoroughbred Alliance

The Arkansas Thoroughbred Alliance is an independent advocacy and information site focused on Arkansas-bred Thoroughbreds.

Arkansas-breds train, enter races, and earn purses year-round — at Oaklawn and at tracks across the country. The Alliance exists to bring that activity into one place and make it visible.

Incentives, eligibility, and program administration are handled by the Arkansas Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association (ATBHA). The Alliance does not administer those programs. Its role is to document participation, results, and outcomes by organizing publicly available information related to workouts, entries, results, purses, and handle.

By presenting that information consistently and over time, the site provides a clear picture of how Arkansas-bred horses are being used, where they are competing, and what they are producing.

Why Arkansas-Breds Matter

Arkansas-bred Thoroughbreds represent more than participation on the racetrack. They are the product of a year-round agricultural system that includes breeding farms, land use, veterinary services, feed suppliers, transportation, and skilled labor across the state.

Those horses ultimately enter racing programs at Oaklawn Park and other tracks, where they contribute to race cards, purses, and wagering activity.

The Arkansas Thoroughbred Alliance exists to document this relationship using publicly available data. The site provides a factual record of how Arkansas-bred horses function within both the agricultural and racing ecosystems.
